Heart Gold & Soul Silver Speculation Thread

To put it simply, this thread is to share your ideas and thoughts on Heart Gold & Soul Silver. Although, most features for Heart Gold & Soul Silver have already been revealed, we can still stimulate some guesses to some other unidentified features.

To begin, I have some questions that I'd like to see your thoughts on:

Will berries from the 4th generation be featured in this game?
Will apricorns and the pokeballs they can be turned into by Kurt be featured in this game?
Will seasons such as Autumn and Winter be featured in this game?
Will seasons (if featured) affect battle gameplay at all?
Will Kanto be featured in this game?

i think seasons would be a great idea it could effect the feild is some way like leafs or snow and same with battle feilds in the wild

of my knowledge, there will be berries from all generations, as there was with Fr/Lg. And the apricorn system will be included. It will most likely be modified to include other types of pokeballs and 'nuts' that the pokeball will 'grow' from. Seasons are most likely going to be included and they will of course change the gameplay through weather effects such as those caused by Castform. And yes, Kanto will be featured in the game and possibly even a set of islands as in Fr/Lg. There will also be a system in place which levels up your pokemon the more the DS system moves, encrouaging you to go outside and get some excercise. This system will most likely have a GPS like system in place to DIScourage shaking the DS to get said expirience.

That device is called the "PokeWalker". It is said items can also be found while walking with your Pokemon. A GPS would be nice, that's something I haven't heard of.

Which would you prefer: Honey Trees or Headbutt Trees. Keep in mind that there is no TM Headbutt anymore but could be still a field move such as Sweet Scent.

And if there was to be a GTS, where would it be? I'd like to see it replacing the Battle Tower in Crystal which if you can remember was west of Olivine City.

Alakazam your so off topic mystery dungeon isn't welcome here >.< btw I wish they would make a game that incompassed all four regions (That game would be sold outthe second it hit stores)

I doubt they'd make a game with 4/5 regions inclusive (that is if they make a 5th generation).

1. They don't have a high enough maximum level.
2. There isn't enough storage space in the DS cartridge for them.

And yet, there's still a lot we don't know. We can expect a lot of things, such as the Kanto Region. But that is yet to be confirmed. And something I'd hate to see them leave out is the evolutions and prevolutions of Pokemon from the 3rd and 4th Generation. And there is a great chance they'll just restrict you to the first 250 Pokemon.

I just have this feeling they'll have Magby and Magmar but not Magmortar and have Gligar but not Gliscor.
